Situated in the North East of Koh Tao in a bay of the same name, Hin Wong Pinnacle is a large dive site descending as deep as 40 meters.
The summit is a tabletop rock formation within 10 metres of the surface and supporting black coral, soft coral and colourful sea fans but mainly covered with a variety of hard corals. The large boulder formation in the North West provides numerous swimthroughs to twist and turn through for a thoroughly enjoyable dive.
You should see Jenkins whiptail rays, porcupine pufferfish and hawksbill turtles in the area. Snappers and sweetlips will stare aimlessly at the unhurried diver and juvenile cube boxfish create splashes of vibrant yellow beneath rocks. Moon wrasse, bannerfish & butterfly fish can also be found in and around the corals that cover the top of the site.
The north western boulder formations is host to an array of swimthroughs & caverns shallow with lightholes which are well worth looking in to see what they hide.
The characteristics of Hin Wong Pinnacle make it suitable for the Advanced Diver, while the shallows of Hin Wong Bay make it perfect for all levels of diver & snorkelers.
